Fire-Resistant Glass
Integrity and insulating fire glass supplied and fitted into tested frames.
Learn more →If a building in London needs integrity fire glass, the starting point is the rating its fire strategy requires. We confirm that, survey the openings and quote a tested system to suit.

We supply and fit integrity glass in screens, doors, vision panels and windows where the fire strategy allows it, and upgrade to EW or EI where it does not. Choosing correctly between E, EW and EI is where most of the cost on a project is decided.
Integrity-only glass may be acceptable in some fire-resisting partitions, screens and doors, often at high level, within the limits national guidance sets. Compartment walls normally need insulating (EI) glazing.
E glass gets hot in a fire. Furniture or stored materials beside it can ignite from radiated heat.
EW glass limits radiation to 15 kW/m² measured one metre from the glass, reducing the risk of igniting materials or harming people nearby.
Building work in England is covered by the Building Regulations 2010, with fire safety guidance in Approved Document B and impact safety guidance for glazing in Approved Document K.
Once a building is in use, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person to maintain fire safety measures, including fire-resisting glazing. The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 add duties for multi-occupied residential buildings, including fire door checks in buildings over 11 metres.
In higher-risk buildings, broadly 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes, the Building Safety Regulator is the building control authority. England is also phasing out BS 476 references from Approved Document B, with the remaining fire-resistance references due to go in September 2029.
Survey visits can be arranged anywhere in London, including the EC1A, EC1M, EC1N, EC1R, EC3, EC4A districts, and in nearby Westminster, Pimlico, Islington. London is the largest town in our Greater London coverage.
Every quote in London identifies the tested system: frame, glass, beads, seals and fixings, within its pane-size limits.
If an existing frame in a London building has no traceable evidence, we say so and price the options rather than guess.
Designs follow the building and fire safety rules that apply in England, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Integrity fire glass applies to many building types in London, including retail and leisure units and hotels.
