Broken Fire Glass Replacement
Broken fire glass replacement is the repair of cracked, shattered or damaged fire-resistant panes with glass of a type the frame's evidence allows, refitted with the correct beads and seals. A cracked fire pane may not perform as tested, so it should be made safe and replaced promptly.

What should you check before ordering?
Make it safe first
A broken pane can be a cut hazard and a gap in compartmentation. We can make it safe on the first visit while the replacement is cut.
Read the marks
Most fire glass is etched or printed with its product name and classification. A photo of the mark speeds up quoting.
Insulating glass lead times
EI glass is laminated to size, so it can take longer to supply than integrity glass. We give you a realistic date.
Why it broke
Repeated breakage can point to frame movement, door slamming or impact from trolleys. We look at the cause.
Discontinued products
When the original glass is no longer available, the replacement must be covered by the frame's evidence or an assessment.

It may not perform as tested. Treat it as a defect and arrange replacement promptly.
How do I know what fire glass I have?
Look for an etched or printed mark in a corner of the pane. Send us a photo with the approximate size.
Can you replace just one pane?
Yes. Single panes can be replaced on their own, provided the replacement is compatible with the frame's evidence.
How quickly can you come out?
Lead times depend on the glass. Integrity glass is often quick to supply; insulating glass is made to size.
