Fire-Rated Glazed Screens
Internal glazed screens that keep compartments and corridors protected.
Learn more →When a fire strategy, inspection report or building control comment in Canary Wharf calls for glazing tested to resist fire, our steel fire-rated screens service covers survey, supply and installation.
Tell us what you need. We reply with next steps and a guide price.
We supply and install tested steel screen systems in black, RAL colours and industrial finishes, including the gridded warehouse look, with integrated single and double doors. Each screen is drawn up within its system evidence so the appearance does not come at the cost of the rating.
Steel systems are fabricated to measure, so allow for survey, drawings, approval and fabrication before the fit date.
Paint and powder coat are normally covered by the evidence, but intumescent strips and seals must not be painted over. We protect them during finishing.
Decorative steel-look aluminium or slim steel partitions sold for offices are not automatically fire-rated. We only fit systems with test or assessment evidence for the classification you need.
Survey visits can be arranged anywhere in Canary Wharf, including the E14, SE16, E3, E1W, E1, SE8 districts, and in nearby Bow, Canning Town, Greenwich. Canary Wharf is one of the Greater London districts we cover.
After survey you get a fixed written quote for the agreed scope, so Canary Wharf budgets are not open-ended.
We can phase work in Canary Wharf around residents, staff or pupils, with out-of-hours options.
If an existing frame in a Canary Wharf building has no traceable evidence, we say so and price the options rather than guess.
Building work in England is covered by the Building Regulations 2010, with fire safety guidance in Approved Document B and impact safety guidance for glazing in Approved Document K.
Once a building is in use, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person to maintain fire safety measures, including fire-resisting glazing. The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 add duties for multi-occupied residential buildings, including fire door checks in buildings over 11 metres.
Sector guides below cover public buildings, retail and leisure units and other buildings in Canary Wharf.
