We design, supply and install fire-rated screens in steel, aluminium, timber and frameless formats, working from the rating and positions on your fire strategy. Every screen is built within the limits of its test or assessment evidence: pane sizes, transom and mullion spacing, glass type and the way it is fixed to the surrounding structure.
Long screens under slabs need deflection heads so floor movement does not crack the glass or open gaps. The head detail has to come from the same evidence as the rest of the screen.
New screens, and changes to existing fire-resisting walls, are normally building work. We provide the product evidence your building control body or approved inspector will ask for.
Test evidence covers the screen's connection to specific supporting constructions, such as masonry, concrete or a tested partition. Fixing into a lightweight wall that is not covered can undermine the rating, so we check the substrate first.
Building work in England is covered by the Building Regulations 2010, with fire safety guidance in Approved Document B and impact safety guidance for glazing in Approved Document K.
Once a building is in use, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person to maintain fire safety measures, including fire-resisting glazing. The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 add duties for multi-occupied residential buildings, including fire door checks in buildings over 11 metres.
We cover Stratford and the surrounding postcode districts, including E15, E13, E20, E3, E7, E9. Nearby towns we also serve include Bow, Canning Town, Canary Wharf. Stratford is one of the Greater London districts we cover.
Every quote in Stratford identifies the tested system: frame, glass, beads, seals and fixings, within its pane-size limits.
Designs follow the building and fire safety rules that apply in England, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
You receive the classification references, glass marks and installation photographs for your fire safety records.
Sector guides below cover schools and colleges, blocks of flats and other buildings in Stratford.
