Typical Llanelli fire glazing jobs
Fire glazing work generally falls into three groups: replacing glass in existing fire-rated frames, installing new glazed screens and doors, and fixing defects from inspections. We cover all three in Llanelli.
Where existing frames have no traceable evidence, we say so and price the options instead of assuming a rating.

Regulations that apply in Llanelli
Wales Which rules apply?
Building regulations are devolved in Wales, so fire safety design follows the Welsh Ministers' version of Approved Document B rather than the English one, alongside impact safety guidance for glazing.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies in Wales, so the responsible person must maintain fire-resisting glazing as part of the premises' fire safety measures. The Fire Safety Act 2021 confirmed this extends to the structure, external walls and flat entrance doors of multi-occupied residential buildings.
Wales is introducing its own building safety regime for occupied residential buildings, so check current Welsh requirements before planning major works to blocks of flats.
