Fire-Rated Glazed Screens
Internal glazed screens that keep compartments and corridors protected.
Learn more →From the EN1 district outwards, we arrange steel fire-rated screens for buildings across Enfield, matching glass, frames and seals to tested evidence rather than guesswork.

Steel fire-rated screens use steel frame sections to hold fire-resistant glass, and they are the usual choice when a project needs slim sightlines with a high rating, large panes or heavy insulating glass. Steel keeps its strength well in fire and can carry the weight of thick EI glass over long spans.
Where steel glazing forms an external wall, thermal performance and condensation need designing in as well as the fire rating.
Paint and powder coat are normally covered by the evidence, but intumescent strips and seals must not be painted over. We protect them during finishing.
Decorative steel-look aluminium or slim steel partitions sold for offices are not automatically fire-rated. We only fit systems with test or assessment evidence for the classification you need.
Building work in England is covered by the Building Regulations 2010, with fire safety guidance in Approved Document B and impact safety guidance for glazing in Approved Document K.
Once a building is in use, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person to maintain fire safety measures, including fire-resisting glazing. The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 add duties for multi-occupied residential buildings, including fire door checks in buildings over 11 metres.
In higher-risk buildings, broadly 18 metres or seven storeys with two or more homes, the Building Safety Regulator is the building control authority. England is also phasing out BS 476 references from Approved Document B, with the remaining fire-resistance references due to go in September 2029.
Survey visits can be arranged anywhere in Enfield, including the EN1, EN2, EN3, N21, N9, N14 districts, and in nearby Edmonton, Tottenham, Wood Green. Enfield sits within our Greater London coverage, alongside Edmonton.
If an existing frame in a Enfield building has no traceable evidence, we say so and price the options rather than guess.
Designs follow the building and fire safety rules that apply in England, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
After survey you get a fixed written quote for the agreed scope, so Enfield budgets are not open-ended.
Sector guides below cover offices, public buildings and other buildings in Enfield.
