Learn more →From the PO19 district outwards, we arrange fire-rated glazed screens for buildings across Chichester, matching glass, frames and seals to tested evidence rather than guesswork.

We design, supply and install fire-rated screens in steel, aluminium, timber and frameless formats, working from the rating and positions on your fire strategy. Every screen is built within the limits of its test or assessment evidence: pane sizes, transom and mullion spacing, glass type and the way it is fixed to the surrounding structure.
New screens, and changes to existing fire-resisting walls, are normally building work. We provide the product evidence your building control body or approved inspector will ask for.
Long screens under slabs need deflection heads so floor movement does not crack the glass or open gaps. The head detail has to come from the same evidence as the rest of the screen.
Test evidence covers the screen's connection to specific supporting constructions, such as masonry, concrete or a tested partition. Fixing into a lightweight wall that is not covered can undermine the rating, so we check the substrate first.
Building work in England is covered by the Building Regulations 2010, with fire safety guidance in Approved Document B and impact safety guidance for glazing in Approved Document K.
Once a building is in use, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person to maintain fire safety measures, including fire-resisting glazing. The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 add duties for multi-occupied residential buildings, including fire door checks in buildings over 11 metres.
Whether the building is in central Chichester or the wider PO19, PO20 districts, we can survey and quote. We also cover Bognor Regis, Havant, Littlehampton. Chichester lies roughly 52 km from Crawley, within our West Sussex coverage.
After survey you get a fixed written quote for the agreed scope, so Chichester budgets are not open-ended.
Designs follow the building and fire safety rules that apply in England, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Every quote in Chichester identifies the tested system: frame, glass, beads, seals and fixings, within its pane-size limits.
We can survey and quote for hotels, care homes and other building types in Chichester.
Yes. Many screens are glazed from floor to ceiling, subject to the classification needed on that route and any impact safety requirements at low level.
They need periodic checks for damaged glass, missing beads, failed seals and unauthorised changes such as new cable holes. We can carry out these checks as part of a survey.
