Fire glazing work in Aberdare
Fire glazing work usually starts with a fire risk assessment action, a fire door inspection finding, or new building work that needs rated glazing. We can help with each in Aberdare.
Glass, frame, beads and seals are matched as one tested system, so the rating on paper is the rating on site.
Which rules apply in Wales?
Wales Which rules apply?
Building regulations are devolved in Wales, so fire safety design follows the Welsh Ministers' version of Approved Document B rather than the English one, alongside impact safety guidance for glazing.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies in Wales, so the responsible person must maintain fire-resisting glazing as part of the premises' fire safety measures. The Fire Safety Act 2021 confirmed this extends to the structure, external walls and flat entrance doors of multi-occupied residential buildings.
